A Vision for the Future

A Note from Pastor Bill

It is a joy to serve as pastor of Medina Community Church and to see the ways God continues to work in and through our church family. Over the past several years we have watched the Lord bring new people, new families, and new opportunities for ministry.

As we look toward the future, our desire is simply to be good stewards of what God is doing. The vision outlined here is about preparing space for the people the Lord may bring in the years ahead.

Anna and I are grateful to be part of this church family, and we look forward with anticipation to all that God has in store for Medina Community Church.

Our sanctuary is full most Sundays.

Our fellowship hall is too small and has poor acoustics.

Our Sunday School rooms are at capacity.

A Vision for the Future

Making Room for What God Is Doing

Over the past several years, God has been faithfully growing our church family at Medina Community Church. We have seen new families come, people place their faith in Christ, and lives changed through the teaching of God’s Word.

As our congregation continues to grow, we believe it is time to prepare for what God may do in the years ahead. Our five-year plan includes expanding our sanctuary and fellowship spaces so we can welcome more people, disciple the next generation, and continue serving the Hill Country well.

This vision is not simply about buildings.
It is about making room for people.

Our Vision

At Medina Community Church, our mission is simple:  To know Christ and to make Him known.

As God continues to bring people into our church family, we want to be prepared to welcome them well, disciple them faithfully, and create spaces where relationships and spiritual growth can flourish.

Our five-year plan focuses on expanding our facilities in ways that support worship, community, and ministry for years to come.

Sanctuary Expansion

One of the primary goals of this plan is the expansion of our sanctuary.

Our current sanctuary comfortably seats about 200 people. The proposed expansion would increase that capacity to approximately 400, allowing us to continue growing while still gathering together as one church family for worship.

This expansion is about more than additional seating. It is about ensuring that when someone walks through our doors — whether they are exploring faith for the first time or looking for a church home — there is always room for them.

We want to be a church that is prepared for the people God brings.

Gathering as a Church Family

One of the strengths of Medina Community Church is the genuine sense of community among our members. We believe the church is more than a place people attend on Sundays — it is a family that shares life together.

As part of the expansion, the sanctuary will also be designed to accommodate our quarterly Church Family Dinners. These catered gatherings allow our entire congregation to sit down together, share a meal, celebrate what God is doing in our church, and strengthen the relationships that make our church feel like home.

By creating a flexible space, the sanctuary can serve not only as a place for worship but also as a place where our church family gathers throughout the year.

Expanded Fellowship Space

In addition to the sanctuary expansion, the plan includes expanding our fellowship hall.

This space will provide:

A larger gathering area for church events
     • Overflow seating when needed
     • A large classroom or meeting space for discipleship and ministry
     • Additional space for fellowship and community gatherings

As our ministries continue to grow, this expanded space will help support the life of our church in practical and meaningful ways.

Investing in the Future

As we have prayerfully explored this expansion, we have also been encouraged by the generosity of our church family.

The projected cost of the sanctuary and fellowship expansion is approximately $500,000. We are grateful that more than half of this amount has already been  given toward the project.

For those who would like to participate, gifts can be given to the Building Fund:

  • Online through our church giving page
  • By designating “Building Fund” on checks or envelopes

Estimated Project Cost: $500,000
Funds Raised / Committed: $265,775 (as of March 1, 2026)

Most importantly, we invite everyone to join us in praying for wisdom, unity, and the Lord’s provision as we take these next steps together.

Looking Ahead

We are grateful for what God has already done in the life of Medina Community Church, and we believe the best days of ministry are still ahead.

As we move forward with this vision, we invite our church family to join us in prayer — asking the Lord for wisdom, unity, and guidance every step of the way.

Together, we look forward to seeing how God will use Medina Community Church to reach more people with the hope of the gospel in the years to come.
